Teddi Mellencamp, the 44-year-old former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, marked the one-year anniversary of an emergency hospital visit that led to brain surgery for plum-sized stage 4 tumors.
In Instagram posts shared Feb. 9–10, 2026, Mellencamp said she went to the ER thinking she had migraines and was in surgery within 24 hours.
Her cancer journey began with a stage 2 melanoma diagnosis in March 2022; by April 2025 it had metastasized to her brain and lungs.
Surgeons removed several brain tumors last year and discovered additional growths during the operation.
Mellencamp has undergone ongoing immunotherapy and multiple procedures and in October 2025 reported “no detectable cancer,” a status she said remained unchanged in recent updates.
She described mixed emotions—“a lot of anxiety” alongside deep gratitude for medical staff, family and fans—and encouraged followers to trust their instincts and get checked.
Mellencamp also said appearances such as The Masked Singer helped her recovery by rebuilding speech and motor confidence after treatment-related setbacks.
