Prime Video released the full trailer for the fifth and final season of The Boys on March 5–6, 2026, setting up an apocalyptic showdown that will stream April 8 with two episodes and conclude with a series finale on May 20.
The trailer shows Antony Starr’s Homelander pursuing V1, the original Compound V, in a bid for immortality and even appears seated in the Oval Office as a de facto ruler.
Karl Urban’s Billy Butcher returns, now exhibiting supe-like strength and carrying a supe-specific virus he plans to deploy to kill all Supes.
Jensen Ackles’ Soldier Boy is revived and aligned with Homelander, while characters from the Gen V spinoff (Jaz Sinclair, London Thor) appear alongside Starlight, Hughie and others.
The teaser also features an on-screen reunion of Supernatural alumni Jared Padalecki and Misha Collins.
The season is produced by Amazon MGM Studios and Sony Pictures Television, with showrunner Eric Kripke overseeing the finale and an expanded franchise that includes Gen V and announced prequels.
