A hacker group calling itself ShinyHunters published data it says were taken from Rockstar Games in mid-April 2026, revealing alleged revenue and player metrics for GTA Online and Red Dead Online.
According to the leaked marketing and bookings data, GTA Online averaged about $9.59 million per week ā roughly $1.3 million per day ā and about $498.8 million annually between September 2025 and April 2026.
The leak attributes roughly 74% of bookings to one-off Shark Card purchases and 26% to GTA+ subscriptions.
The dataset cites an average active player base near 9.94 million with about 393,000 paying players (roughly 4%). Platform breakdowns place PlayStation 5 as the largest source of revenue (about $4.49m/week), while PC accounted for a much smaller share.
Red Dead Onlineās revenues were far lower (about $26.4m/year). Rockstar and parent Take-Two have confirmed a breach of ānon-materialā company data but have not verified the leaked figures; they and early reporting say no GTA 6 builds or apparent personal data were published.
