Former Arsenal striker Thierry Henry has urged the Gunners to "make a statement" as they prepare to host Sporting CP in the Champions League quarter-final second leg at the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal hold a slender 1-0 advantage after Kai Havertzâs injury-time winner in the first leg.
Henry warned Sporting could emulate the high-press, 4-2-4 approaches used by Manchester City and Bournemouth â tactics that have recently troubled Mikel Artetaâs side following defeats in the FA Cup and the Premier League and a Carabao Cup final loss to City.
The comments, made to CBS Sports and widely reported on April 15-16, come as Arsenal chase back-to-back Champions League semi-finals for the first time in the clubâs history.
Despite recent domestic setbacks, Arsenal have collected strong European form this season, with reports noting ten wins in 11 Champions League matches and a powerful record at the Emirates.
Henry said Arsenal must reassert themselves with a dominant display to avoid succumbing to pressure-based gameplans that have exposed their weaknesses.
