INDIANAPOLIS — Caitlin Clark was back on the court at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on April 19 as the Indiana Fever opened training camp, declaring herself 100% cleared after an injury-marred 2025 that limited her to 13 games.
Clark missed much of last season with a series of leg and groin issues and a left-ankle bone bruise after July 15, then rehabilitated through the offseason with Fever trainer Maria Witte and in USA Basketball gatherings.
Coach Stephanie White and the team say they will monitor Clark’s workload carefully — particularly during the long 2026 campaign, which includes a FIBA World Cup break and a 44-game schedule — and balance reps to protect her durability.
Clark spent part of the offseason broadcasting and shooting as a photographer, and she said she intends to be “a little bit smarter” about recovery and rep management.
The Fever enter the season with All-Stars Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell healthy, while the WNBA has seen roster and contract changes under a new collective bargaining agreement.
