Israel on Sunday instructed its military to use "full force" in southern Lebanon if troops face threats, authorising demolitions of structures it says are used by Hezbollah even as a 10-day ceasefire holds.
Defence Minister Israel Katz and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered the IDF to act "both on the ground and from the air" to protect soldiers, remove booby-trapped buildings and dismantle what they call Hezbollah outposts.
Israeli forces carried out demolitions in border towns including Bint Jbeil; Lebanonās state media and army reported further detonations and damage in Mais al-Jabal, Deir Seryan and Kunin.
The military published maps showing a forward defence line and a map-like "Yellow Line" along the border.
The announcement came after an Israeli soldier was killed when he entered a booby-trapped building shortly after the ceasefire took effect, and amid reports that nearly 2,300 people have died in Lebanon and more than a million have been displaced since the conflict began on March 2.
France and other countries have pressed for the truce to hold; Turkish leaders criticised what they called Israeli expansionist moves.
