Apple TV will finally release The Savant, the Jessica Chastain–led political thriller that was pulled from the platform after its original September 23, 2025 premiere was postponed in the aftermath of Charlie Kirk’s assassination in September 2025.
Chastain, who also serves as an executive producer, told Variety at a Breakthrough Prize event that the series “is going to be seen” and that Apple is targeting a July release, though the streamer has not issued an official date.
The limited series follows Chastain’s character, an undercover investigator who infiltrates domestic extremist networks and the dark web to prevent large‑scale attacks.
The cast includes Nnamdi Asomugha, Pablo Schreiber, James Badge Dale, Jordana Spiro and others.
Apple originally said it had “made the decision to postpone” the show and offered no timeline; Chastain publicly disagreed at the time, arguing the series addresses timely issues about preventing violence.
With the show now back on a likely summer schedule, an official announcement and promotional campaign are expected ahead of the probable July launch.
