Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Argentine President Javier Milei met in Jerusalem on April 19, 2026, and signed a series of memorandums aimed at deepening ties between Israel and Argentina.
Agreements announced included cooperation on security and counterterrorism, an artificial intelligence partnership, and a new initiative dubbed the “Isaac Accords” — a Latin America–focused framework modelled on the Abraham Accords and reportedly backed by the United States.
Milei opened Argentina’s embassy in Jerusalem during the visit and is set to participate in Israel’s Independence Day torch-lighting rehearsal.
Officials also unveiled plans for a direct El Al route between Tel Aviv and Buenos Aires, supported by special Israeli budgetary backing and intended to boost tourism and business links.
Argentina’s foreign minister held separate talks on counterterrorism and technology cooperation, and the itinerary included meetings with President Isaac Herzog and families of recently released hostages.
Israeli ministers present included Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar and other senior officials.
The visit runs through April 20–21 and was described by Israeli officials as a milestone in Israel–Latin America relations.
