A toddler has died after falling from a high-rise apartment building in North York, Toronto, on Sunday, May 10, 2026.
Emergency crews were called to an address near Don Mills Road and Graydon Hall Drive at about 12:21 p.m.; the child was pronounced dead at the scene, Toronto police said.
Neighbours told reporters the child may have fallen from about the 19th floor of a roughly 20-storey condominium.
Police described the investigation as in its early stages and said they had no further information to share.
At the scene officers and a forensics van were present and a small memorial â including a toy bearing the message âRest in peace, little oneâ â was left by a nearby resident.
Media reports noted this is at least the second similar tragic apartment fall in the Toronto area in recent weeks, following a fatal fall on April 27 and a separate incident in Mississauga months earlier.
Authorities have asked anyone with footage or information to contact police as investigations continue.
