The Buffalo Bills signed veteran edge rusher Mike Danna to a one-year contract on May 11, 2026, adding experienced depth as the team shifts to a 3-4 defensive alignment under new head coach Joe Brady and coordinator Jim Leonhard.
The 28-year-old Danna, a two-time Super Bowl winner, spent six seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs after being selected in the fifth round of the 2020 draft out of Central Michigan.
At 6-foot-2 and 257 pounds, he played defensive end in Kansas City but projects as an outside linebacker in Buffalo.
Danna has 21œ career sacks and six forced fumbles in 87 games (49 starts). He is expected to compete for a backup role behind starters Bradley Chubb and Greg Rousseau.
The signing follows Buffaloâs use of the 35th overall pick on Clemson edge rusher T.J. Parker in last monthâs draft and comes with a roster move releasing cornerback M.J. Devonshire, who had been signed in January.
The deal bolsters pass-rush depth as the Bills retool the front seven for their new scheme.
