Samsung will roll out a major update to its Samsung Health app on June 8 that turns Galaxy Watches into more proactive, AI-driven health companions.
The update introduces a Vitals feature that analyzes five overnight bio-signals â heart rate, heart rate variability, respiratory rate, skin temperature and blood oxygen â against personal baselines and notifies users of meaningful deviations.
Samsung is replacing Vascular Load with a consolidated Heart Health Score that combines sleep, stress, activity and body composition.
New exercise-focused tools include Daily Cardio Load, which tracks accumulated cardiovascular strain and recommends training and rest, and a Fitness Index that benchmarks VO2 max, steps and heart-rate metrics against peers to set personalized goals.
A redesigned home screen centers on Sleep, Activity, Nutrition, Mindfulness and Vitals and surfaces an AI-powered Energy Score.
The update also adds continuous Hearing Health monitoring and will be broadly supported across Galaxy phones and devices, though Samsung says the features will be fully realized with its next-generation Galaxy Watches expected to debut this summer.
