Antoine Griezmann will join Major League Soccer side Orlando City when the MLS secondary transfer window opens in July 2026, the clubs announced on March 24.
The 35-year-old World Cup winner and AtlĂ©tico Madrid allâtime leading scorer has signed a deal running through the 2027â28 season with an option for 2028â29 and will occupy a Designated Player slot.
Griezmann flew to Florida to finalise terms but will finish the 2025â26 season with AtlĂ©tico, who face Real Sociedad in the Copa del Rey final on April 18 and have a Champions League quarterâfinal against Barcelona.
Orlando have said financial details were not disclosed; adding Griezmann will require roster moves to free a DP slot or use allocation money.
The signing comes as Orlando sit low in the MLS Eastern Conference early in the 2026 season and have already replaced manager Ăscar Pareja, underscoring both sporting and commercial motives for the transfer.
Across his career Griezmann has over a decade at Atlético and spells at Real Sociedad and Barcelona, with more than 200 goals for Atlético and 44 goals in 137 caps for France before retiring from internationals in 2024.
