đ° Full Story
The BBC on April 20 released Mint, an eight-part crime drama written and directed by Charlotte Regan that blends gangster storytelling with magical realism and a female-centred perspective.
All episodes were made available on BBC iPlayer at 06:00 BST on April 20, with two episodes airing weekly on BBC One from 9pm to 10pm each Monday until the finale on May 11.
Filmed in Scotland â including Grangemouth and scenes at The Centre shopping mall in Cumbernauld â Mint follows Shannon (Emma Laird), daughter of a dominant crime family, who falls for Arran (Ben Coyle-Larner) of a rival clan.
The cast also includes Sam Riley, Laura Fraser, Lindsay Duncan, Neil Leiper, Connor Newall and Lewis Gribben.
Produced by Fearless Minds and House Productions, the series has drawn praise for its audacious visual style and performances while dividing critics and viewers over its surreal, stylised approach to gangland material.
