Kelly Lee Curtis, an actress and the eldest daughter of Tony Curtis and Janet Leigh, died on May 30, 2026, at the age of 69, her sister Jamie Lee Curtis announced.
In an Instagram tribute Jamie Lee said Kelly âpassed away this morning.
In her home.
In nature.
At peace.â No cause of death has been disclosed.
Reports place her final days at home, with some outlets reporting California and others citing Bellevue, Idaho.
Kelly began appearing on screen as a child with an uncredited role in the 1958 film The Vikings and later had supporting roles in Trading Places (1983) and TV credits including Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, The Sentinel and The Equalizer.
She also directed several documentaries and worked behind the scenes as an assistant and production staffer on some of her sisterâs films.
Jamie Leeâs tribute highlighted Kellyâs love of nature, music, thrifting and family, and noted her pride in Danish roots and Hungarian Jewish ancestry.
The family has not released further details; condolences and tributes from colleagues and fans have been posted online.
