Trinity Rodman, Sophia Wilson and Mallory Swanson — the U.S. women’s national team’s prolific attacking trio nicknamed “Triple Espresso” — have been recalled together for two friendlies in Brazil on June 6 and June 9, with matches scheduled in São Paulo and Fortaleza.
The three forwards, who combined for 10 of the U.S. goals during the 2024 Olympic gold-medal run and saw Swanson score the decisive goal in the final against Brazil, have not played together since the Paris Games.
Wilson and Swanson return after maternity leave; Rodman is back after managing a recurring back issue.
Head coach Emma Hayes has overseen a phased reintegration using tactical refreshers and tailored preparation to rebuild match fitness and chemistry.
The reunion offers the USWNT a chance to test line-up combinations ahead of CONCACAF qualifying later this year and long-term World Cup preparations, while also highlighting the team’s approach to player welfare and return-to-play protocols.
