Bo Bichette had four hits and three RBIs as the New York Mets defeated the Seattle Mariners 7-1 on June 3 in Seattle.
Bichetteâs 19th career four-hit game â and his first as a Met after signing a three-year, $126 million contract this offseason â included a broken-bat single in the fourth inning that broke a 1-1 tie and a sacrifice fly in the eighth.
Freddy Peralta (4-4) threw six strong innings, allowing one run on six hits with six strikeouts.
Relievers Joe Gerber, Brooks Raley and Luke Weaver kept Seattle hitless over the final three innings to close the game.
Jared Young and A.J. Ewing each had two hits, while Mariners starter George Kirby was chased after four innings (now 5-5). J.P. Crawford supplied Seattleâs lone run with a leadoff homer.
The Mets head to San Diego Friday with RHP Christian Scott lined up to start; the Mariners begin a 10-game road trip with RHP Bryan Woo scheduled to start.
