Nottingham Forest manager Sean Dyche has said the fierce atmospheres once synonymous with English football grounds are less aggressive than they were 30 years ago, while acknowledging Elland Road remains a tough venue.
Speaking ahead of Forest’s relegation battle at Leeds, Dyche said modern supporters are "not as hostile" but that the Yorkshire ground still carries a "real feel" and presents a challenge.
Forest and Leeds sit level on 26 Premier League points, six above the relegation zone, making the meeting a pivotal six-pointer for both clubs’ survival hopes.
Dyche confirmed he will assess goalkeeper Matz Sels (thigh) and winger Callum Hudson-Odoi (shoulder) before the trip.
With Neco Williams suspended, new deadline-day signing Luca Netz could be in contention to make his first appearance.
Dyche described Netz as a young signing bought with the future in mind but did not indicate whether he would start.
