Microsoft confirmed on March 30, 2026 that its annual Xbox Games Showcase will air on Sunday, June 7, beginning at 10 a.m.
PT / 1 p.m.
ET (6 p.m.
BST). The livestream will be followed immediately by a dedicated Gears of War: E-Day Direct from The Coalition offering new gameplay, story details and development insights.
Xbox said the broadcast will include "first gameplay looks and huge news" from firstâparty studios and thirdâparty partners and will stream on YouTube, Twitch, Facebook and other channels in more than 40 languages with signâlanguage and audioâdescription options.
The event coincides with Xboxâs 25th anniversary and the return of Xbox FanFest in Los Angeles during Summer Game Fest weekend (June 5â8). Expected candidates for the showcase include highâprofile Xbox titles due in 2026 â such as Fable, Halo: Campaign Evolved and Minecraft Dungeons 2 â and there is industry interest in whether Microsoft will reveal more about its nextâgen platform, Project Helix.
The announcement comes weeks after leadership changes at Microsoft Gaming, with Asha Sharma now leading Xbox.

Audience responses emphasize two themes: player backlash over Game Pass price rises could dampen subscriptions or push users toward alternative key markets, and the dedicated EâDay deep dive plus revived FanFest have generated expectations that Xbox will prioritize visible firstâparty releases and a consumerâfocused PR reset under new leadership.
