HBO Max’s real-time medical drama The Pitt has concluded its 15-episode second season and all episodes are now available to stream.
Season 2 ran weekly from Jan. 8 to April 16, 2026, and departed from the mass-casualty peak of season 1 — which earned multiple Emmys including best drama and lead performances — to focus on smaller, cumulative stresses: a threatened cyberattack that forced hospitals offline, the emergency-room fallout from a waterslide collapse, an ICE-related abduction, and the day-to-day emotional toll on clinicians.
The season’s finale centers on lead Dr.
Michael “Robby” Robinavitch’s escalating burnout and suicidal ideation, and highlights recurring mental-health crises among staff.
The series was renewed for season 3 in January; production is due to begin in June 2026 with storylines incorporating colder weather.
Most principal cast members are expected to return — Noah Wyle, Patrick Ball and Isa Briones among them — though Supriya Ganesh (Dr.
Mohan) will not return and some turnover is planned.
Sepideh Moafi is likely to continue in a recurring role and Ayesha Harris is being promoted to the main cast.
