Iron Maiden confirmed they will not attend their induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame on Nov. 14 in Los Angeles because the band will be on the Australasian leg of their Run For Your Lives world tour.
Manager Rod Smallwood told Billboard the group accepted the honour but prioritised scheduled live shows, saying "the fans always come first." The November ceremony falls between Maiden dates in Melbourne (Nov. 13) and Sydney (Nov. 15); the band also plays Auckland and other Australasian dates in early November.
Organisers will induct the group as part of the Rock Hallâs 2026 performer class alongside artists including Oasis, Billy Idol, Phil Collins, Wu-Tang Clan, Joy Division/New Order, Sade and the late Luther Vandross.
While the six touring members will be on tour, reports note there remains a possibility that some former members who are part of the inducted lineup â such as drummer Nicko McBrain, guitarist Dennis Stratton or singer Blaze Bayley â could attend.
