Asus on June 1 unveiled the ROG Xbox Ally X20 at Computex 2026, a limited-edition upgrade to its Windows handheld designed to mark the Republic of Gamers’ 20th anniversary.
The X20 swaps the previous 7-inch IPS for a 7.4-inch FHD OLED Nebula HDR panel (120Hz, FreeSync Premium Pro) with a 1,400-nit peak brightness, Dolby Vision support and Corning DXC anti-reflective glass.
Internals remain the same as the Ally X: AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme, 24GB LPDDR5X and a 1TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD, plus an 80Wh battery.
Control and comfort updates include drift-resistant TMR thumbsticks, a transformable 4/8-way D‑pad, redesigned face buttons, rubberized grips and an Action button replacing the old Library key.
Asus is packaging the X20 as a bundle with limited‑edition ROG XREAL R1 Edition 20 AR glasses (micro‑OLED, 240Hz, virtual 171‑inch display at 4m, native 3DoF). Asus has announced a holiday release window but not pricing or whether the handheld will be sold separately; industry coverage expects a high price, with bundle totals likely to approach or exceed $2,000 given current ROG and Xreal pricing.
