Jessica Simpson used a concert stop in Highland, California, on June 1, 2026, to debut an unreleased track titled “Give It All Away” and to reflect publicly on her journey to sobriety.
The 45-year-old singer said she has been sober since 2017 and described how confronting past traumas helped her realise alcohol was “a crutch that wasn’t working,” telling the audience she had become “somebody that I was afraid of.” Simpson introduced the song — co-written with Linda Perry — at Yaamava’ Resort & Casino and framed it as a message of grace and surrender.
She celebrated eight years of sobriety in November 2025 and has continued a return to music after a long hiatus, releasing EPs in 2025 and resuming live dates.
Simpson, who has publicly navigated the end of her marriage to former NFL player Eric Johnson, framed the new song as part of ongoing healing and encouraged fans to give themselves kindness as they confront their own struggles.
