World No.1 Australia’s Diamonds opened a three-Test netball series against No.3 Jamaica in Adelaide on Feb. 5, 2026, the sides’ final international meeting before the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow later this year.
Coach Stacey Marinkovich has named a strong squad with Thunderbirds premiership star Matilda Garrett promoted to start at goal defence after replacing injured defender Sunday Aryang, who suffered an anterior cruciate ligament tear in October.
Jamaica have rested a number of experienced shooters, including Jhaniele Fowler-Nembhard and Romelda Aiken-George, giving their bench players a chance to stake claims.
The series continues in Perth on Sunday and concludes in Melbourne the following Wednesday.
Australia will use the three Tests to sharpen combinations and gather scouting information ahead of the multi-nation Games, while Jamaica will assess squad depth in the absence of some frontline stars.
Matches are attracting domestic broadcast interest and will provide selectors with performance data for squad selection and tactical planning ahead of the summer’s major tournament.
