Free agent Jesse Lingard, 33, has emerged as a target for Dutch club Feyenoord after being released by Seoul FC when his contract expired in December.
Lingard made 67 appearances for Seoul, scoring 19 goals and providing 10 assists, and has been training individually since leaving the K League.
Clubs in England, Italy and the Netherlands — including West Ham, Wolves and Genoa — have held discussions, but reports on Feb. 4-5, 2026 say Feyenoord, coached by Lingard’s former Manchester United team-mate Robin van Persie, have made contact.
The move has gained urgency after a serious knee ligament injury to van Persie’s son and Feyenoord forward Shaqueel, leaving the squad short up front.
Lingard, who last played in England for Nottingham Forest in 2022-23 and enjoyed a notable loan spell at West Ham in 2021, hopes to decide on his next club within days.
He has said he is open to moves across Europe, the Middle East and elsewhere.
