📰 Full Story
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has updated its 2026 induction roster to include former Oasis bassist Paul “Guigsy” McGuigan and drummer Alan “Whitey” White after both names were initially absent from the announcement.
McGuigan, Oasis’s original bassist from 1991–1999, and White, who played on key albums including (What’s the Story) Morning Glory, now appear on the Hall’s website following coverage and fan outcry led in part by a #JusticeForGuigsy push.
The initial omission — which left McGuigan off while including early drummer Tony McCarroll — was flagged by media outlets on April 15–16, 2026; the Hall’s correction came within days.
Organisers have not publicly explained the change, which may reflect a clerical error or intervention by the Oasis camp.
The induction ceremony is scheduled for Nov. 14, 2026 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles; this year’s class also includes acts such as Wu-Tang Clan, Phil Collins, Joy Division/New Order, Sade, Iron Maiden, Billy Idol and Luther Vandross.
Recording of the ceremony will air on ABC and Disney+ in December.
