Anthony Edwards scored 30 points, 21 in the second half, as the Minnesota Timberwolves rallied from an 18-point deficit to beat the Toronto Raptors 128-126 in Toronto on Wednesday.
Minnesota tightened its defence late, keyed by Edwards’ fourth-quarter surge and a series of turnovers by the home team that included two crunch-time miscues and an offensive interference call in the final seconds.
Rudy Gobert finished with a double-double and Jaden McDaniels contributed 19 points for the visitors.
Toronto saw six players reach double figures — Brandon Ingram led the Raptors with 25, Immanuel Quickley had 23 and Scottie Barnes posted a 22-point, 10-rebound double-double — but the club’s late-game ball security and missed free throws cost them.
The result left Minnesota around 32-20 and Toronto about 30-22 on the season; it also marked Minnesota’s first win in Toronto since 2004.
