Netflix on April 30, 2026 unveiled a major mobile redesign centered on “Clips,” a TikTok-like vertical video feed intended to boost discovery and daytime engagement.
The feature, rolling out first in the US and select countries and expanding globally over the summer, surfaces short snippets from Netflix films, series, specials and marketing material, with personalization that tailors clips to individual tastes.
Clips will be accessible via a new bottom-tab button and a home-page section; users can add titles to My List, share clips, and tap through for more info.
Netflix said Clips will later include podcast highlights, live-event content and themed collections.
The redesign also reorders top navigation to emphasize podcasts and New & Hot.
Netflix frames Clips as a way to drive viewers back to full-length viewing—most likely on TVs—rather than to replicate TikTok.
Rival streamers including Disney+, Peacock and Tubi have been rolling out their own vertical-video features, underscoring a broader industry shift toward mobile-first, short-form discovery experiences.
