Jay Stratton, a former senior U.S. intelligence official who led the governmentâs modern investigations into unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP), will publish a memoir titled Out of the Shadows: Revealing the Truth About Non-Human Intelligent Life on Oct. 13 via HarperCollins imprint William Morrow.
Stratton, who spent more than 16 years probing UAP and co-founded the Advanced Aerospace Weapons Application Program (AAWSAP), is described by his publisher as having witnessed non-human craft and beings and uncovered what he calls an 80-year coverup.
He retired in 2022 after a 32-year career and was the first director of the Pentagonâs Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force.
The book comes as the White House has ordered agencies to review and declassify UAP-related material and the government has started releasing files and documents.
Film and television rights have been acquired by documentary-maker Dan Farah, who plans scripted adaptations.
Stratton is reported to be working with the White House, the Director of National Intelligence and the Department of Defense to identify and make additional evidence accessible.
