Barry Manilow, 82, has postponed his Feb. 12-21 residency dates at the Westgate Las Vegas after undergoing surgery to remove a cancerous spot from his left lung.
Manilow said the operation was successful and he is âdoing great and recovering very well,â but on his doctorâs recommendation he is taking extra time to heal before performing.
Tickets for the postponed Las Vegas dates will be fully refundable at the point of purchase; no replacement dates have been announced for the February run.
Manilow is set to resume performances at the Westgate on March 26-28 and will launch a U.S. arena tour on Feb. 27 in Tampa, with stops scheduled through April 29 in Duluth, Georgia.
The singer revealed the lung lesion in December after prolonged bronchitis led to imaging; doctors have indicated the cancer appears to be early-stage and that he will not need chemotherapy or radiation.
His team previously rescheduled January dates to later in the spring as part of the revised touring plan.
